Welcome to the Portal on school abandon.

This space is provided by Once Against partnership to foster the development of a Virtual Pedagogical Resources Centre addressed to all organisations, operators and professionals working with Young at risk of social and occupational exclusion. It has been conceived as  an open source channel and tool, where all users can enter without limitations to upload and download on line materials in their own national languages,  in order to exchange information, experiences, good practices, and tools.

To make it live we need your help, support and cooperation.
Referring to the upper menu of this page, you can directly publish contributions, uploading materials, or read and use the ones  provided by others, downloading materials.

To help you in surfing and using the Portal, we have created a very short  guide on the FTP Area use (File Transfer Protocol).

Before entering the Portal we ask you to spend only few minutes in reading  it, so that you can familiarize with the procedure of uploading/downloading on line.

BUT ....... before using the guide    

Please have a look also to the short “Legend” provided below: the Portal is articulated in different sections each one having a specificity so, if you want to research documents or upload them, it is necessary for you  not only to know How but also to know Where:

1. Products – operative documents and tools addressed to operators to support guidance, counselling, tutoring, training actions (e.g. questionnaires, grids, protocols, methodological and analytical texts, handbooks and guides related to good practices experimented and validated).

2. Projects – case studies realised, as models of good practice. Please for each case study provided an abstract describing for example info as: year, target, aims, activities, outcomes.

3. Didactic material – training coursewares realised by different users and answering to specific target groups needs.

4. Researches – analysis and surveys realised.

5. Observatory – presentation of statistical data on dropouts referred to different countries and legislative texts referred to the school abandon phenomenon in the different countries.

6. Bibliography – Index of different texts and documents  concerning the school abandon phenomenon and short abstract of their contents.

7. Forum – help us to make the portal a virtual space for discussion on specific case studies and for the exchange of information, experiences and good practices. In the Forum area you will find a users’ guide.
